Mufasa Country Leather Conditioner forms the second stage of the Mufasa Country Leather Care Process:

CLEAN → NOURISH → PROTECT

Start by cleaning the leather with the appropriate Mufasa Country cleaner. Once the leather is clean and completely dry, apply Leather Conditioner to help condition the leather.

When appropriate for the leather, complete the process with Mufasa Country Premium Beeswax Conditioner & Polish as Step 3 to help protect, seal and polish the surface.

When Should You Use Leather Conditioner?

Leather Conditioner is intended to be used after cleaning, once the leather has dried naturally.

How often leather needs conditioning depends on the type of leather, how it is used, its environment and its existing condition.

More conditioner is not necessarily better. Leather should be conditioned according to its needs rather than repeatedly saturated with product.

Choosing the Right Cleaning Stage

Conditioning works best when the leather has first been cleaned appropriately.

Light Cleaning — Light Leather Foam Cleaner

For everyday dirt, dust and light surface contamination, use Mufasa Country Light Leather Foam Cleaner before conditioning.

It provides a gentler cleaning option when a deeper clean is not required and may also be considered when working with more delicate or sensitive suitable finished leather.

Deep Cleaning — Deep Leather Cleaner

For heavier dirt, grime, body oils, unwanted odours or neglected leather, use Mufasa Country Deep Leather Cleaner before conditioning.

Once the leather is clean and completely dry, move to Step 2 — Nourish.

How to Use Mufasa Country Leather Conditioner

1. Clean the leather first

Before conditioning, clean the leather using the appropriate Mufasa Country leather cleaner.

2. Allow the leather to dry naturally

After cleaning, allow the leather to dry naturally before applying conditioner.

Do not use direct heat to speed up drying.

3. Always test first

Test the conditioner on a small, less visible area before treating the entire item.

Check for:

• Colour change
• Finish compatibility
• Absorption
• Desired appearance

4. Apply a small amount of Leather Conditioner

Apply a small amount of Mufasa Country Leather Conditioner to a clean, suitable cloth or applicator.

Start with a small amount. You can always add more if required.

5. Apply evenly

Work the conditioner gently and evenly over the leather using controlled movements.

Pay particular attention to areas that receive regular handling and use.

6. Allow the conditioner to absorb

Allow the conditioner time to work into the leather according to the condition and response of the material.

Avoid applying excessive amounts of product.

7. Wipe away excess product

Use a clean cloth to remove any excess conditioner remaining on the surface.

8. Allow to settle

Allow the leather to settle naturally before returning the item to normal use.

9. Move to Step 3

When appropriate for the leather, finish with Mufasa Country Premium Beeswax Conditioner & Polish to help protect, seal and polish the leather.

Realistic Expectations When Conditioning Leather

Conditioning Cannot Reverse Every Sign of Age

Leather develops character through use.

Scratches, scuffs, creases, worn areas, colour changes, old water marks and other signs of use may be permanent changes to the leather rather than something that conditioning can simply remove.

Leather Conditioner is not a magic eraser.

Its purpose is to condition and care for the leather, not to erase its history.

Older or neglected leather may respond differently from newer leather. Some leather may absorb conditioner quickly, while other leather may require very little product.

The condition, finish, age and history of the leather all influence the final result.

Always test first and let the leather tell you what it needs.

Not Every Leather Needs the Same Treatment

Leather comes in many different finishes, colours and constructions. A product that works well on one leather may not be suitable for another.

Always identify the leather and test an inconspicuous area before applying the conditioner to the entire item.
